Every line, a little closer.

The heaviness of sin is now gone And I smile and see my saviour, your blessed son Father you sent your Son, and thru him we have the spirit Lord my burdens have been lifted, and paradise I will inherit In this winter of my pain and heartache I look for your healing, and my soul to take You helped us rise out of this darkness We were heading to the abyss Only through our redemption in Jesus Could we give this fate a miss The heaviness of sin is now gone And I smile and see my saviour, your blessed son Father you sent your Son, and thru him we have the spirit Lord my burdens have been lifted, and paradise I will inherit Father you have given me a heart for the lost And now I minister to them, sharing the cost The truth of the gospel has replaced, the wisdom of this world I now have strength in you, strength untold I pray daily your son to see on high His light is so soothing, and I sometimes give a grateful cry The heaviness of sin is now gone And I smile and see my saviour, your blessed son Father you sent your Son, and thru him we have the spirit Lord my burdens have been lifted, and paradise I will inherit Thru his sacrifice we have been made new We read your word daily, and we know it is true I talk to you daily and you listen and bless me The final chapter has been written, and paradise we see The heaviness of sin is now gone And I smile and see my saviour, your blessed son Father you sent your Son, and thru him we have the spirit Lord my burdens have been lifted , and paradise I will inherit This world is a mess, in spite of you giving us your best The love of jesus carries me, and Holy Spirit we sense your presence Down on our knees we seek your grace and guidance The warmth of your embrace, has provided a boldness Our desires now seek the lost, to give them your eternal rest The heaviness of sin is now gone And I smile and see my saviour, your blessed son Father you sent your Son, and thru him we have the spirit Lord my burdens have been lifted, and paradise I will inherit Hallelujah to the Father Hallelujah to the Son Hallelujah to the Holy Spirit The end is near, and we walk and stand with you Forever and ever, Amen The heaviness of sin is now gone And I smile and see my saviour, your blessed son Father you sent your Son, and thru him we have the spirit Lord my burdens have been lifted, and paradise I will inherit
