I finally met Jesus, my Lord so many years ago Moved on from my sindebt, my life to forgo He sent his SPIRIT who calmed my resolve And now I share His grace with all as they evolve I look for the seas to be calm and smooth and yet they are rough and boiling my life reflects the turbulence, instead of the serenity I count the hours sometimes just to get through the days I finally met Jesus, my Lord so many years ago Moved on from my sin, my life to forgo He sent His SPIRIT who calmed my resolve And now I share His grace with all as they evolve Sleep comes and sleep goes and the turbulence remains Nothing seems to calm me my emotions to contain Where is the healing to be found Even though the Spirit’s Blessings abound I finally met Jesus, my Lord so many years ago Moved on from my sin, my life to forgo He sent His SPIRIT who calmed my resolve And now I share His grace with all as they evolve Who am I now, only the Lord truly knows Somedays my suffering defines me and shows The mountain of the Lord that I have climbed The Lord’s kingdom is now where I am headed The Lord’s blessings fill me and keep me levelheaded I now look heavenward as the scriptures command Our lives have been changed through our faith in His grace I cannot wait to be sitting before His face The Father has Blessed us through an obedient Son Christ has intervened and this cannot be undone I finally met Jesus, my Lord so many years ago Moved on from my sin, my life to forgo Jesus sent His SPIRIT who calmed my resolve And now I share His grace with all as they evolve Jesus sent His spirit who calmed my resolve And now I share His grace with all as they evolve
